Welcome to the Avon Bowmen Archery Club

The Avon Bowmen Archery Club in Avon New York has 42 archery targets distributed among deciduous trees of a 35 acre woodland forest. The varied terrain and hardwoods (mostly oaks) provide bowhunters with a natural hunter settings for practicing and sharpening their archery skills.

The clubhouse and 11 target range are the main gathering places for members every Wednesday evening. Arriving around 6PM archers will tune up their bows, shoot a round of targets or just hang out until darkness settles in. Even then lights are turned on and a campfire lit for continued discussions related to archery equipment, deer hunting and hunting stories about the big one that got away. Occasionally a BBQ grill is setup to cook hots or venison delights harvested by one of our members.

Many members also enjoy archery league play each Wednesday evening. It’s primarily a fun experience but there is a Club League Champion honored at the end of the summer and their name goes onto an Avon Bowmen Championship plaque.

Enjoy all this with a family membership of only $30 a year. We welcome archers of every style including long bows, recurves, compounds and crossbows.
